Who is behind it
I'm Gerschwin. I have a background in accounting and more than twelve years inside a family-run manufacturing company. The numbers always told a story. They rarely told you what to do on Tuesday morning when the line was full and the deliveries were slipping.
After I left that role I spent another twelve years installing software in manufacturing businesses. I saw first-hand the problems companies run into: a system that works as designed, and a floor that still doesn't.
What changed the work was treating the bottleneck as a fact of production, not a malfunction, and building the whole plant around it. That is still the centre of Savvy Business: practical, results-first, suspicious of software that arrives before the method does.
When I am not on a floor or in a planning meeting, I am usually with family, reading philosophy, talking theology, or watching Liverpool.
What this is
